Event Overview
Gallery de sol warmly invites you to explore “B612: The Flavor of Love” during Taipei Art Week, a unique experience that combines art, literature, and cuisine. This art space features the “Flora of Formosa” series by contemporary printmaker YANG Chung‑Ming, whose works are held exclusively by the National Palace Museum. The pieces, “B612 fig.1” and “B612 fig.2,” are inspired by the rose story in Le Petit Prince and employ innovative fine art printmaking techniques. Set in a specially designed exhibition space, the artworks transport visitors to the enchanting realm of planet B612, evoking the delicate and dreamy essence of the cosmic wilderness. In addition, Gallery de sol has collaborated with Café de LUGANO to offer a special menu inspired by both the “B612” art space and the “IN BLOOM” theme of Taipei Art Week. Each dish, from savory options to desserts and beverages, integrates artistic elements, providing visitors with a sensory experience that complements the visual art. Reserve your spot now to make this interstellar journey of art and cuisine a treasured memory.
Menu
B612 Asteroid
Crispy Onion Tart, Scallop
B612 asteroid, the home of the Little Prince. The onion tart is built on a handmade crust topped with Saint‑Nectaire cheese–sautéed mushrooms. A simply pan‑seared, sweet and juicy Hokkaido scallop is finished with a cherry‑radish rose representing the Little Prince’s first love, a delightful surprise that captures the beauty of their first encounter.
The Rose
French Rose Apple Tart
“It is the time you have wasted for your rose that makes your rose so important,” the fox says. The meticulous, hand‑layered arrangement of apple rose slices makes each tart uniquely special.
Whispers of the Rose
Vodka / Rose / Roselle / Tea
A soft whisper from the one and only rose, tender and romantic. Vodka blends with its delicate fragrance, while hibiscus and tea add a sweet‑tart note, evoking the cherished moments between the Little Prince and his rose.

Café de LUGANO
Café de Lugano is located in the atrium on the first floor of Mandarin Boutique. Renowned American designer Barbara Allen was commissioned to design the space, which also incorporates original works by contemporary French painter Jacques Pellegrin. The result blends European luxury with modern sensibilities. An outdoor courtyard evokes the leisurely atmosphere of a small European plaza, recreating the feel of alfresco café seating along cobblestone sidewalks and offering guests a lively, relaxed dining environment with refined style.
Notably, Café de Lugano offers a different charm by day and by night, and serves food, coffee, and cocktails around the clock, so guests can enjoy exceptional flavors at any hour. The chef insists on using the freshest ingredients, combining classic and innovative techniques to present distinctive Italian‑French cuisine.

Chef Frédéric Jullien
Trained in Provençal and Italian border cuisine, Frédéric Jullien was born in the Hautes‑Alpes near the Italian frontier. He began his first restaurant job at 16 and pursued professional culinary studies in Paris, honing classic French techniques at Michelin‑starred restaurants Taillevent and L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon.
After arriving in Taiwan in 2019, he served as Executive Chef at Hotel Indigo Taipei Dazhi and in 2021 joined Kaitaifeng International Co., Ltd. as Corporate Executive Chef.
