Gallery de sol’s “Summer International Print Project 2023: Origins” will host the highly anticipated “Artist on Site” event on 9/16 from 15:00–16:30. The exhibiting artist YANG Chung-Ming will be present to guide us through explorations of printing plates of varied textures, to share stories from different countries, and to discuss the countless decisions of “take” and “let go” in his own creative process. He will also offer insight into ZAO Wou-Ki’s artistic beginnings in his thirties, reflecting on how the master gradually forged a lifetime of masterpieces.

This exhibition, curated under the theme “Origin”, also heralds the forthcoming show “Flora of Formosa: Solo exhibition of YANG Chung Ming“, which will present an eagerly anticipated outlook shaped by Gallery Director Dr. Sunny Chang’s new definition of “print-based art.” You may have already glimpsed details of works from the next exhibition on the cover of the September issue of ARTouch magazine, or read the feature “Taiwan’s Lone Pioneer of Print-Based Art: Yang Chung-Ming — The Unfinished Realm.” Now we invite you to Gallery de sol to speak with this print-based artist in person, to satisfy your curiosity and be among the first to preview the prospects of “Flora of Formosa.”

We look forward to meeting you on the afternoon of 9/16 to enjoy the allure of art and make it a highlight of your summer!
